Kiera von Riverside is a pretty 2 year old classic German Shepherd. It happened again: our volunteer was at the shelter waiting to pick up 2 shepherds when a family walked in with Kiera saying they didn't want her anymore. They said she's too friendly with people to be their 'back-yard guard dog' to make sure nobody steals their lawn. Kiera has the typical shepherd aloofness first, but once she spends a little time with you she will try to crawl in your lap. She loves attention and does great with other dogs. Although our volunteer only had a small car with her she couldn't leave her behind. So off Kiera went with Puka (whom she kissed right away) and Elsie in the small car. During the ride she wanted to keep one paw on the volunteer at all times. She was in a family with kids so we feel she will make a wonderful addition to any family. Kiera is not good with cats.
